AustrianGrid Certification Authority

The AustrianGrid Certification Authority is part of the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) used for authentication of users, hosts and services participating in the the Austrian Grid initiative and European Grid projects.

The Certification Authority is operational.

The document Certificate Policy and the Certification Practice Statement in its current version describes the procedures and operation rules for the AustrianGrid Certification Authority. It has been accepted by EUGridPMA (and by extension the International Grid Trust Federation - IGTF) as conforming to the requirements for a Classic X.509 CA with secured infrastructure.

Thus the certificates issued by the AustrianGrid CA are accepted in national, European and international Grid projects.
